Veneziano to host latte art smackdown in Adelaide

Veneziano Coffee Roasters will host a Latte Art Smackdown at First Pour Adelaide on 17 February.

Thirty-two of Adelaide’s best baristas will go head to head in a fast-paced latte art competition for the chance to win $1000 in prize money, donated by competition sponsor Vitasoy.

The knockout format will see baristas pour designs ranging from swans, rosettas, love hearts to free pour.

The competition will also feature a bonus almond milk round in celebration of Vitasoy’s new Almond Milk product release.

Each barista will need to impress three judges with their accuracy, definition and creativity. They include Bar Nine’s Ian Callahan, HG Maintenance Services’ Bill Comley and Coffee World’s Cam Ballard.

Veneziano’s Craig Dickson will keep guests entertained with his emcee skills.

First place will walk away with the generous cash prize, while the top six places will take home a Cafetto barista gift pack.

Limited spaces are available to compete. First in best dressed.

To reserve your place, text or call Mike on 0434 853 250. Entry fee is $5.

The public is encouraged to show their support of Adelaide’s talented latte artists. To show your support for free, RSVP via Eventbrite by 15 February.

First Pour Adelaide is located at 111 Melbourne Street, North Adelaide, 5006. Competition will commence at 5.30pm.

Vitasoy, Cafetto and Espresso Maintenance are proud sponsors of the event.
